Ash made me feel important and like I was her only client, when I knew I wasn't.
Deb
“Before I began working with Ash, I was in pretty bad shape mentally and physically. I had an eating disorder that started when I was 16 and followed me throughout my life. I had been with another coach but wasn’t getting what I needed. At the encouragement of my daughter she recommended Ash. I was hesitant to reach out to her because of how I felt about myself. But, one day I finally reached out to her and she scheduled a video call with me. I will say, I was a little scared.
I committed to putting forth the effort, and it changed my life. While I continued to focus on that number on that blasted scale, she kept redirecting me. She was kind, but firm. One day she said to me – “that number on the scale is that, a number. Just like your BP, your heart rate, your blood sugar glucose. Nothing more, nothing less”. I HAD NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE.
Something clicked. So, I started thinking like that – it took time, it wasn’t overnight.
I learned that I controlled my food, my exercise, my outlook about food, and how I looked at my body. I hated food, I hated my body. I couldn’t look in a mirror without disgust. I wore black, I always wore a sweater or jacket. Thinking I was covering up what I hated. I learned that food was fuel that helped my body and did not harm me. The right food would give me strength and energy. The weight slowly came off. I was disheartened. I wanted 20 pounds gone yesterday. But I learned it takes time, commitment, mindset, and the right food.
As the weight started coming off, I began to feel better physically. Mentally, things changed drastically. I was able to wear sleeveless tops, no sweater or jacket, and for the first time in my life, I looked in the mirror and actually said to myself, “You look pretty good”. I learned not to be afraid of food, to try different things, and found the challenge something I could get into. Ash was there every step of the way. When I became sick and had an injury, she never stopped pushing me to do what I could do. Not to become discouraged, but to listen to my body. Ash is a total professional. She never dismissed anything I asked, she never made me feel stupid, and she was always responsive, available, and caring. She explained things so that I could accept changes easily. She never made me feel like I was bothering her. She could always back up what she suggested for me. She made me feel important and like I was her only client, when I knew I wasn’t.
I would strongly recommend anyone to reach out to Ash for help. No matter how big or small your issues are with food and your body, she’s your girl. She’s got you from the moment you begin with her.”
